Less TV

I've decided to stop watching so much TV and start reading more. I don't really read a lot, which surprises people because I work for a publishing house. That said, I've been watching a lot of TV lately and I think it's turning my brain to mush. I keep reading other people's blogs, tumblrs, etc. and being convinced that everyone is smarter than me. Tonight I'll read some 100 Years of Solitude, then maybe I'll pick up some Ayn Rand (people seem to think she's worth reading), then maybe I'll go for a run... or not.

I don't like Ayn Rand because I don't know how to pronounce her name.

As the ex-boyfriend of an Ayn Rand devotee, I must caution you. Objectivists are a most frustrating breed. That said, Atlas Shrugged is a pretty decent piece of literature. Just be wary of its philosophical implications.
